The origin was the Precision-compass and the exactest mechanical clock of the world. With the invention and the production of the Riefler-Roundsystem-compass the triumphal procession of the german compass industry startet from Nesselwang.

Riefler-Precision pendulum clocks stood in the observatories of all five continents as well as in scientific institutes, to whom the accurate time was very important.
